Current Projects

For decades, the Allegan Jaycees have been hosting a large Easter Egg Hunt for the community. Free to attend, the Easter Eggstravaganza features different scrambles for separate age groups, door prizes, photos with the Easter Bunny, and some Easter chinchillas to pet! It is held at the Allegan High School every year.

The Allegan Jaycees, in partnership with Tantrick Brewing Company, have been hosting the ALEgan Craft Beer Fest annually since 2022. The festival brings together multiple West Michigan breweries, food trucks, and bands to create a fun afternoon!

Since 2006, the Allegan Jaycees have been working with the Allegan County Fair to provide the manpower for the beer sales at the Fair's concerts. This project is the chapter's largest fundraiser, providing the funds we need to continue giving back to the community.

Annually, the Jaycees work with Pine Trails Elementary School to find families that may be in need of assistance to make Christmas magical for their kids. We are generally able to provide 3-5 families with a Christmas- gifts for the children and parents, and a full Christmas dinner.

Since at least the 1960's, if not earlier, the Allegan Jaycees have been responsible for maintaining the American flags in downtown Allegan for federal holidays. 

The Jaycees have a section of M-222 that we clean up as we participate in MDOT's Adopt-a-Highway program.

The Jaycees have been helping the ARC of Allegan County with their ARC Parties/Dances since 1997. In fact, prior to the ARC running them, the Jaycees hosted holiday parties for individuals with disabilities. 

The Jaycees have been a supporter of Allegan, Speak Up! and have participated in Allegan Out Loud Pride events since they began!

Bridgefest is a staple festival for many in the community, including the Jaycees. You can usually find us amongst the community tents running some sort of game.
